Overview of Fixed Assets
In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the life cycle of a fixed asset typically begins with creating a Fixed Asset Card, which registers the asset in the system. It concludes with the disposal of the asset. Throughout its life cycle, various operations can be performed based on business requirements. These may include acquisitions, depreciation, reclassification, and adjustments. Some operations can be omitted if not relevant to your business.
FA Flowchart
The chart outlines the complete process of managing fixed assets in Business Central. It starts with the creation of a Fixed Asset Card to register the asset. After that, there are two ways to handle transactions: using the FA Journal or the FA G/L Journal.
There are few Booleans in the Depreciation Book under the Integration Heading.
If you Enable this Booleans then it will link the Fixed Assets Transactions with the General Ledger. Otherwise it will only book the Fixed assets sub-ledger entries and no General Ledger Entries. From this Blog we are going to start a Series on All the Important Processes, Pages, Fields that are used in the Fixed Assets Process.
In the Title you will see the Reference:
FA - Blog - 1 = It means Fixed Assets - Blog Number 1
Hope so this Blog and the upcoming Blogs will going to be helpful.
